The role and responsibility of entrepreneurs is changing as India changes. This is an important issue to think about, because the nature of entrepreneurship is different in India- it is more complex, complicated and more granular than the West.

1. Priorities your Precious time. With so many chores on my mind, I make a time log so that I know I have to attend to the important and urgent works. I list the important priorities and follow accordingly. I have a daily list prepared so that I know what I need to do for the day. Time management is very important when it comes to housework aswell as office work. A routine is certainly a good idea. Working some breaks into the schedule is recommended. Dividing the day's work into bite-sized chores would be a good option.

2. I plan my mornings. I make mornings less hectic by planning the previous night. Things like ironing clothes of my husband, I do it earlier, so as to avoid last minute rush. Mornings go more smoothly if I do some things the night before, so I lay out clothes, ensure that things are ready for the breakfast.

3. I plan and decide what to cook every day of the following week and shop for groceries accordingly. This can save a lot of time, and it is said that planned meals are healthier too, because they are not last-minute decisions. You got to club jobs together as a lot of time gets wasted in doing just one chore at a time. Multi-tasking can be of some help. I don't mean that one should vacuum with one hand, iron with the other, and take calls at the same time. However, one can save time by doing the day's cooking at one go, or by vacuuming while the potatoes are on the boil.

4. When my sons were small I used to devote quality time for them every day, even if it was just a couple of hours. Read to them, played games with them and talked to them about their day. It is not important what you do or for how much time you do it. All that matters is that you show your loved ones that you love them, and this is what I do for my sons and my husbands till date.

5. Don’t be too hard on yourself. To be a super working mom is difficult as we have to work, have to organize the grocery shopping or make it on time to the school PTA meetings. How to survive being a super working mom requires me to be a little more attentive to my human needs and a lot more forgiving about not being perfectly efficient.

6. Working both at home and at office, are equally important for our self development, improving our financials and improving the quality of our family lifestyle. To survive being a good super working mom, we have to give equal respect to all the things we do and make sure that there is a harmonious balance between home and office life. This means that if I plan to wash the curtains or decide to do a task over the weekend, and my family suddenly wants to go on a picnic, then the curtains and task can wait.

7. When I am home, I keep my mood relaxed and happy while I am with my family. We need the comforts of family life just like everyone else. I take time for grooming myself whenever I get relax and enjoy some daily dose of de-stressing. I also spend some time alone in my personal prayers.

8. No much of television, as it’s too easy to get distracted and end up wasting valuable time. I need a breather, ofcourse, but not before I have finished all my tasks before I retire for my bed.

9. “Clean up” routine every night before I go to sleep where I see that all my family members have to follow it. I delegate the work of folding and tidying the bedrooms to my sons as this not only saves my time, but also gives them a sense of independence. Organization at home or at office is about delegation. At home this means that mindsets have to be changed, sometimes. I for one, have no problem, as my husband and my sons willingly contribute to the house chores when it is demanded.

10. Finally, I schedule quiet time for our family where each one of us spends five or ten minutes alone when everyone gets home. This gives us all time to calm down and say our daily Rosary/Prayers and regroup before getting dinner ready and discussing the day.

These ideas aren't rocket science, however by following these tips, you won't only get to work on time, but you'll keep your family happy, too. One may ask for more hours in a day, but that just impossible, isn't? We are constantly focused on what next, how can I improve results, how can I meet targets. It's fun. But it can be totally exhausting. When do we ever get "time-out"? After all, there are bills to pay, contacts to follow-up, ideas to implement, and that to-do list reproduces itself like bacteria each morning. The good news is that you can actually switch off and relax. You can finish the day and have a genuine conversation with your spouse and children without seeming like a dreary robot. Get your brain to turn off, and your humanness to turn on at the end of the day and await for another day….
