It is a well known fact that women are good at multitasking different tasks very well. Today many of us try to manage the home as well as have a career. Firstly, I always felt I derived more confidence, satisfaction from my career and the financial security that it gave me, which in turn always made me work hard at home also after work every day. I felt happy with my work at which I tried to put in my best efforts. I always plan for the following week in advance, like the menu for the entire week. Then I shop for the groceries, vegetables on weekend, then come home and clean the vegetables, cut them and store them in the fridge. Then I get the laundry done on weekends and keep the entire families clothes neatly ironed ready for the following week. I maintain a board in the kitchen where I note down the things to be done, and tick them when finished, thus knowing what is pending to achieve. Then I mark the important dates - birthdays, exams dates of children, etc in the calender as a reminder. Similarly I plan my work as per the schedules of office and maintain a diary for these details. I try to avoid making or receiving personal calls on cell or phone until it is urgent, thus saving a lot of valuable time in office.By removing the time wasters from our life we create time which we can then be used for doing important tasks that would give us better results. I get up early in the morning and start cooking for breakfast, lunch. Then I pack the children's lunch . Then I get my kids ready for school and they leave and finally I leave for office on time. In the evening I reach home and start preparing dinner and then check the chidren's studies, spend some time with them. Then I check my list & mark the finished ones & get on with the remaining tasks in the following days. Time & tide waits for none.We should remember Mahatma Gandhiji's famous saying that one must perform tomorrows duty today & today's duty now. One must value and respect time to reach our goals in life and on a day to day basis & to face our tasks patiently and punctually. This will allow us to accomplish our difficult tasks very well organised and on time. Discipline and desire are the most difficult and the most important ingredients for success in improving your utilisation of time. We must time is precious.
